On April 20 and 21, 2013, the Foresight Symposium "China in a multi-polar world" took place in Beijing. It focused on issues related to China's economic development, domestic and international resource security, and the country's interaction with the regional order. [more]
The new book "Handmade Urbanism, From Community Initiatives to Participatory Models" by Marcos L. Rosa and Ute E. Weiland, published by Jovis, is released. It showcases 15 projects realized mostly in less favored areas of five major cities in emerging countries, examining the potential of urban transformation embedded in community initiatives. [more]
