„Becoming Istanbul“
Exhibition at the German Center for Architecture (DAZ)
On May 15, 2009, the show „Becoming Istanbul“ opens in presence of the Turkish Ambassador Ahmet Acet at the German Center for Architecture (DAZ) in Berlin.
The exhibition, which shows the current Istanbul from different perspectives, has been made possible through the collaboration of the German Center for Architecture, the Garanti Gallery Istanbul and the Alfred Herrhausen Society. The exhibition is prepared with the purpose of visualizing Istanbul's present state. It consists of an interactive audiovisual database on contemporary Istanbul. Media accessed through includes works by artists, architectural projects, videos, photographs, cartoons and essays. Users accessing these works produced in the last 10 years will have the chance to perceive the conditions and actors forming today’s Istanbul.

The exhibition is on display from Mai 16 to June 30, 2009, at the German Center for Achitecture (DAZ) in Berlin, Köpenicker Str. 48/49 (Taut Hall).
