“Denk ich an Deutschland” (Do I think of Germany)
“Denk ich an Deutschland” is intended to be a debate, to startle, to excite, to be controversial, in order to force people to think and take action, so that tomorrow’s problems will be different from those of today.
The Alfred Herrhausen Society, in a partnership with the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung, has developed a new conference series in 2009 to examine the
strengths, weaknesses and problems of Germany. Free of any “ban on new ideas” imposed by political parties, the aim is to present an objective, but passionate survey of the current state of politics, the economy and culture in Germany – from various perspectives within and outside of Germany.

controversial and knowledgeable debate about Germany. Pairs of speakers presenting opposite viewpoints will discuss to-the-point issues, interrupted, provoked and supported by peer commentators.
This year's conference takes place on September 6, 2013, in Berlin with the topic: “THE TROUBLE WITH ELECTIONS: From the heart to the relic of democracy?”.
