The Future of Cinema
In occasion of 60 years fot he Berlinale Filmfestival the discussion event „Berlinale Keynotes: The Future of Cinema“ took place in the Neue Nationalgalerie on February 14, 2010.
How does the future of cinemas in urban areas look like? How can cinema stimulate urban communication and contribute to their economic attractiveness?What kind of architecture promotes culture, communication and entertainment in urban space? These all are questions which have been discussed by architects, urbanists and filmmakers, such as architect Lord Norman Foster and the director of the Design Museum in London Deyan Sudjic among others.
