Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award
Book presentation São Paulo
March 15, 2011
On March 15, 2011 the Alfred Herrhausen Society presented the book “Microplanning. Urban Creative Practices. São Paulo .”
The book is the result of a field research which Marcos L. Rosa carried out following the organisation of the Deutsche Bank Urban Age Award 2009 in São Paulo. He got in contact with a series of projects that illustrate alternative forms of action in existing urban spaces, committed to the construction of spaces for encounter connected to everyday life experience.
This publication situates action in the micro scale based on social practices and collective appropriations, calling attention to the importance of these initiatives in the reconfirguration of the urbanscape.
