„Tag der offenen Gesellschaft“ – Day of Open Society in Berlin
Our open table will be set on 15 June in Friedrichshain
On 15 June, the Open Society Initiative is organizing the third “Day of the Open Society“(„Tag der offenen Gesellschaft“) in Germany. On this occasion, the initiative calls on businesses, associations or private individuals to put up tables in public spaces and invite friends and strangers, neighbours and passers-by alike to join in, eat, drink and discuss.
In cooperation with Freiraum in der Box, Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft aims to make a visible sign for neighbourly friendship. Between 11 am and 3 pm, guests are welcome to join us at Boxhagener Straße 18 in Berlin-Friedrichshain, to sit down at a table in the courtyard garden, to eat and to discuss. The youth orchestra of the Freie Jugendorchesterschule Berlin and the Berliner Schule für Schauspiel, both residents on the premises, will actively participate.
The Day of the Open Societies is supported by the Federal Ministry for Family Affairs, Senior Citizens, Women and Youth and is a part of the federal program “Demokratie leben!”. For more information, visit this website: http://tdog19.de/
