Ecolution 2019 – What do sustainable cities look like?
Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft joins the ecolution, a new format of econsense
How will tomorrow’s cities develop? Which technical limitations exist, and how can urban development be designed in a sustainable manner? Elisabeth Mansfeld, lead of the project area Cities at Alfred Herrhausen Gesellschaft, will discuss these and more questions about sustainable urban development with other experts at „ecolution 2019 – Dialog für nachhaltiges Wirtschaften (dialogue for sustainable economy)“ on 13 November in Berlin. The participants of a workshop session will debate potentials and options for action, based on the new climate protection law of the German federal government and with regard to global trends like population growth or climate change. Also, issues like infrastructure, sustainable financing or the energetic use of buildings will be addressed. The views of municipal policy making will provide additional value.
Ecolution is a new format of econsense, a network of internationally operating German companies for sustainable development. Approximately 400 decision makers with backgrounds in the industry, politics, civil society and science are expected to join the diverse program with innovative formats and workshops on different issues like sustainable value chains, climate, human rights, environment, sustainable financing or digitalisation. During the day, several parallel sessions will take place, one of them addressing sustainable cities.
ecolution 2019 takes place on 13 November 2019 at Café Moskau in Berlin. Registration is possible via the event’s website.
